MTDL’s  Strategic Initiatives

The Movement for the Tenets of Democracy in Liberia (MTDL) is set to launch a transformative initiative. Starting in 2025, it plans to deploy a team of well-informed, trained, and nonpolitical party-affiliated scholars. These scholars will conduct civic education in Liberia, equipping Liberians with the knowledge, capacity, and readiness to participate fully in electing the leaders who can bring about positive changes and development in their communities. This initiative, MTDL believes, holds the potential to significantly enhance Liberia's democratic process, instilling hope and optimism for a brighter future. MTDL, a 501c3 non-profit organization based in the United States and operating in Liberia, is committed to the development and well-being of all Liberians.

MTDL underscores the pressing need for immediate and strategic changes when choosing their leaders. These changes are not just significant; they are vital for the nation's advancement. Using bags of rice and disinformation to secure votes has resulted in substantial economic and development setbacks, as elected officials often prioritize personal interests over the people's future. Enhancing people's knowledge and awareness could influence aspiring candidates and public officials to prioritize the country's best interests.

Liberia's future is bright, but it can only be fully realized if the nation remains a democratic society and the people have the knowledge and opportunity to participate in free and fair elections. The key to unlocking this bright future is civic education. It is not just important; it is essential. The Liberian people need civic education to turn this promising future into a reality.

MTDL's leadership eagerly invites the support of Liberians and the international community in various forms, such as comments and suggestions. Your support is not just welcome; it is crucial to our mission to enhance civic education in Liberia. Your involvement can make a significant difference and is essential for the success of this initiative!

The Movement for the Tenets of Democracy in Liberia (MTDL) is dedicated to strengthening democracy and People's well-being through civic education. Democracy is the lifeblood of a prosperous society.
